Mass Intentions Online

Mass intentions refer to the particular purpose for which a specific Mass is offered. Most commonly, a Mass is requested for the repose of the soul of someone who has died. One should never forget the infinite graces that flow from the Sacrifice of the Mass which benefit one’s soul, both for the living and the deceased.

Although the origins of the practice of offering Mass intentions date to the early Church, we still recognize its importance today. To have a Mass offered on the occasion of a birthday, anniversary or special need is appropriate, beneficial, and appreciated. Really, there is no greater gift that we can give.

Daily and Sunday Mass intentions to be offered here at Our Lady of the Lake are available, and there are many weekday intentions open. If you would like to remember a loved one in this way, please click on one of the available intentions indicated by a teal box.

• Follow the links below.

• For each intention, select an available Mass time (teal box).  
• Add the name of the person for whom it is intended. Select the occasion, there is a dropdown box to the right.
  • Dropdown Options: Deceased, Living, Birthday, Anniversary, Health & Healing, In Thanksgiving, Living & Deceased, and if needed, add a note.

• Add to Cart, choose additional Mass intentions, or Proceed to Checkout.
  • You will receive a confirmation email.

• Do I have to leave a note?
  • No. You may leave it blank.

• How do I indicate that my Mass intention is the 10th anniversary of death or the 1st wedding anniversary?
  • First, select the occasion from the dropdown box to the right. Next, in the “Notes” section simply type “10th Anniversary” or “1st Anniversary”.
